The most important is obviously the relationship between colleagues. It is therefore essential to build a good team and monitor the integration of your employees. For 71% of employees, this is the most favorable for QWL.
The two other factors which are determinant to employees are the office layout (38%) and the absence of noise (29%).
For many employees, it is necessary to favor closed offices rather than open-space (especially in France), support mobility by increasing breaks and oral communication rather than e-mails.
Nuisance noise must be taken seriously, it is often detrimental to the employee’s work and personal life.
- The telecommuting, burgeoning and favoring the QWL
Even if it has long been the black plague of business, telecommuting is booming today. And for good reason, the time spent in transport every morning and evening becomes more and more impressive. In Paris, an employee makes an average of 74 minutes of journey, ie almost 2h 30 per day.
That is why, 76 % of employees think the telecommuting can be better for the balance between professional life and family life. Provided, of course, that is properly set up.
A lot of big society try with 3 days in company, and two days at home. Obviously, with attendance requirements for certain days etc… and the figures to be drawn are positive:
– a decreased of 5,5 days per years of sick leave-
-an increase of working time by 2,5 %
-an increase of productivity by 22 %
-a decreased of 40 min of the journey « home-work »
-an increase of 45 min of average sleep time per day
Taking a little time to satisfy the quality of working life of employees and responding to their needs by thinking about teleworking is therefore very important and has proved to be more than beneficial for both employees and managers.
